The Recreation Department is now accepting Visa or Mastercard Payments for online Registrations.

WE NOT DO ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS IN THE OFFICE OR MAIL IN REGISTRATIONS.

The NEW Pavilion at the Recreation Field will be open for use starting Spring 2012.

This will be the home base for the Recreation Department’s Summer Day Camp “Capital Kids Day Camp”.

When the pavilion is available, it may be rented for birthday parties, family reunions, company picnics, etc.

No alcohol or smoking is permitted in or around the pavilion area.

Please contact our office at 225-8699 for information on reserving the pavilion for your event.

Our adventure camp program is an exciting opportunity for teens to get off the
couch and out experiencing thrilling new adventure experiences. From the first
day where we learn to work as a group through teambuilding and challenges
to the final outdoor competition event. Each day the participants will learn
new skills that not only will allow them to have fun, but will help them in
their normal everyday life. Also included in our camp program is an outdoor
leadership component where the participants will have the opportunity to lead
the group and learn skills that will help them succeed in their careers and in
school. A two-day whitewater kayak clinic is incorporated over days 3 and 4.

Basketball Camp YOUTH AGES 6-14

Description:

The US Sports Institute Basketball summer camp is ideal for children who want to
develop their basketball skills in a relaxed and fun environment. The focus of
the basketball camp is to improve the individual’s technique through a series
of fun basketball challenges and drills. Realistic basketball situations will be covered
in small-sided games, with the week finishing with the USSI Basketball camp
Super Hoops tournament.

SPORT SQUIRTS AGES 3-5

Description:

The Sport Squirts program introduces children aged 3 to 5 to a variety of sports such as Soccer,

T-ball, Basketball, Lacrosse and Hockey, all taking place in a safe structured environment ensuring

learning is taking place. Activities are designed to evoke a child’s imagination in which they can Find Nemo,

send Shrek into a spin or capture Jellyfish with Sponge Bob Square Pants. All activities promote hand-eye

coordination, movement and balance and most importantly Fun, Fun, Fun.
