Proposed New Governance Policies & Procedures for Senior Activity Center

Staff and volunteer Advisory Council members involved in MSAC’s National Accreditation effort recently created a new Governance Policies & Procedures document to replace and improve upon several separate documents (including MSAC’s outdated bylaws), to simplify management and to help members and the general public better understand how MSAC and its Advisory Council operate.  The document was reviewed by the Advisory Council and City Attorney. In accordance with the previous bylaws, this new governance document was warned 30 days prior to MSAC’s Annual Meeting scheduled for June 19 at 12:45, and then was discussed and approved by vote of members in attendance June 19.  The Advisory Council agreed to consider some specific improvements to the document in the coming months.
