2015 Sunday Ski Program

Wednesday, 02 January 2013 00:00

The Montpelier Recreation Department is currently seeking instructors to offer fun and exciting recreational and educational classes to our community.  Our department offers a wide variety of recreational programs to citizens of all ages.  These programs take place in city parks, schools, and other locations.

If you possess the skills and abilities to teach a program which would be a GREAT addition to our Recreation curriculum, we’d like to meet you. All you have to do is submit a class proposal telling us about your class. Classes are a great way to bring in extra revenue doing something you love to do. You can choose your own hours that you want to teach. We work out the class fee together, and our supportive staff will do your advertising and class registration. If you are interested in submitting a class proposal, contact the Recreation Program Coordinator at: 1-802-225-8691

What does the Recreation Department offer instructors?

  • We have classroom facilities, auditoriums and parks available for all recreation courses.  These facilities are maintained to assure the comfort of instructors and participants.
  • The Montpelier Recreation Department will place your class description in our Recreation brochure which is distributed to Montpelier households in the World Newspaper.
  • Our Department uses advanced computer registration system.  The “Class” system allows us to maintain facility booking for your class and to process registrations in an efficient manner.  Instructors receive attendance reports and we maintain the database to provide participant main contacts from all classes.  Participants can register online for classes and programs.
  • We offer registration through five easy customer friendly ways including:  mail, online registration, telephone, fax, or in person.
